Homemade toothpaste that you can use alone or add to your toothpaste for a added boost.
Homemade Tooth Paste / Tooth powder
Here is a homemade toothpaste without all the added harmful chemicals that usually in stores. I love knowing what I put in my body and what better way of knowing than making it myself. This makes my teeth white and just feel overall healthy.
I love using Dr. Bonners toothpaste but I felt like I needed something more. I did some research on natural oral health and made my own tooth paste. I made a liquid form to use by itself and a powdered form that you can also use alone but I like to dip it in the toothpaste I use for a boost. I been using it for a few days and really impressed with the results. I been using this a few times a week for a booster.
Ingredients in this toothpaste
Coconut oil may help to decrease plaque buildup on your teeth also reduce inflammation to fight gum disease.
Bentonite clay is an antibacterial agent, raising the pH of your mouth and providing necessary abrasiveness to remove plaque.
Baking soda is good for teeth whitening.
Diatomaceous Earthhelps remove plaque and calculus.
Pink salt canassist in removing bacteria from the teeth and gum.
Spirulina can reduce dental plaque and gingivitis
Activated Charcoaleliminates stains from the teeth’s surface. *
Essential oils freshen breath and are good for oral health. If using make sure that they are top grade and safe to put in your mouth.
*Notes about Activated Charcoal
After Making this I did some research on it and found out that is does remove stains but its highly abrasive and can harm your teeth enamel overtime if used on a daily bases for a long time. So you can either use this a few times a week or just completely omit this from the recipe.
